Mindy Lam’s work blurs the line between art and adornment, transforming metal, crystals, and semi-precious stones into intricate, ethereal works. Celebrated for her signature metal lacework and meticulous craftsmanship, Lam’s pieces are known for their creative elegance.

For the Taubman Museum of Art’s 75th Anniversary, Lam was commissioned to create a new dress and frame, featured along with a selection of brooches, crowns, and frames in a sparkling conversation. Lam’s work invites viewers on a journey where familiar forms take on new magic.

Transcendent Beauty reveals Lam’s enduring fascination with texture, structure, and the transformative potential of material. This exhibition reveals Lam’s work as more than ornament, but as sculpture, storytelling, and objects of wonder.
